Noise (hearing / audiology)
If your staff work in an environment where the noise is higher than 85db (the equivalent of a hairdryer, a subway train or a lawnmower!) then legally it’s your responsibility to conduct regular hearing tests to ensure you have the right protections in place.
We offer Audiometry surveillance for any number of employees. They take between 20 and 30 minutes and include a questionnaire, a thorough ear examination, referral to a specialist medical consultant if necessary, and a report for managers which meets Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements.

The Isle of Man Government, Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is currently undertaking review of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2025 – Health and Safety Legislation and responses can be collected through their Consultation page which closes on 12 December 2025.
